This we know: All things are connected like the blood that unites us. We did not weave the web of life, we are merely a strand in it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.

It’s a bright sunny morning… ThanksGiving weekend has come and gone…
I’m in reflective mode… especially having family over and being in the presence of love…
Who am I but a soul seeking purpose… sharing it’s Self… wanting to learn and grow and teach and be taught?!
Thanks Giving… celebrated in every country to symbolize the gathering of harvest…
In Chaldea… in ancient Egypt and in Greece the harvest festival was celebrated with great rejoicing… the Hindus and the Chinese observe the gathered harvest with a holiday and the Jews celebrate the in-gathering of the crops as enjoined upon them in Torah… ‘The Romans celebrated their Thanksgiving early in October. The holiday was dedicated to the goddess of harvest, Ceres, and the holiday was called Cerelia… the Christians took over the Roman holiday and it became well established in England where some of the Roman customs and rituals for this day were observed long after the Roman Empire had disappeared… in England the ‘Harvest Home’ has been observed continuously for centuries… the custom was to select a harvest queen for this holiday… she was decorated with the grain of their fields and the fruit of their trees… on Thanksgiving Day she was paraded through the streets in a carriage drawn by white horses… this was a remnant of the Roman ceremonies in honor of Ceres… the Pilgrims brought the “Harvest in” to Massachusetts.
In the “New World” we gather with family and friends in feast often with turkey and plenty provisions…
I am Blessed! and I want to take this moment to thank you for the Blessings!
You have supported me throughout my years of speaking performing and acting… and while it’s easy to say thank you… it is equally as easy to dismiss it and say nothing…
So with that… I want to Give Thanks to you for listening… because you didn’t have to… I want to thank you for attending… because again… you didn’t have to… I want to thank you for reading and responding… sharing and spreading the word…
And most of all… I want to Give Thanks to you for inspiring me to continue doing what I love… and what loves me… what is greater than that?!
I am Blessed! and the truth is… you are too… regardless of the situation you may find your Self in… you… me… we can all find Blessings in through and of it!
Our world is fast paced now compared to the days of ancestry… and back then they continually gave thanks for the little things… food… rain… sun… wind… earth… life… death… they rejoiced because they knew what it was like to NOT have…
I too know what it is like not having… so… in my time of harvest… I say thank you for my gathering… for what little or much that I have… for what little or much that I bring and contribute to my community… and say thank you to my community for their willingness to grow and gather with me!
I Am Truly Blessed!
